The Boss bought the team members lunch last Friday because we celebrated her birthday with a cake and a birthday card. There was consideration, just not of equal value. The consideration given by the Boss was definitely much more than all of us.
It was a mixed feeling going there for lunch. Excited and happy to have a good lunch, paid by the boss. At the same time, it's a bit intimidating to have a meal together with 7 other people who are all your senior. It was however, a good experience, largely thanks to the ambience and food of the restaurant.
We all ordered set lunch. It comes with a soup(mushroom/spanish vegetable/another-choice-of-soup-which-I-cannot-remember-yhe-name (I think there is a third choice), main course and tea/coffee/ice lemon tea.

I had spanish vegetable soup, which tasted similar "luo song" soup. I also tasted a bit of the mushroom soup. We like both of the soups, the taste of the soups were not too bland and not too heavy. Still remember the joke the Boss said when my spanish vegetable soup took longer time than the mushroom soup. "They need longer time because the vegetable are flown in from Spain."

I ordered Vin du Pork i.e. pork with red wine sauce. We think that the Black Market Pork Shoulder (I think that's the name, the description said it's served with Black Market sauce) tasted better than the one with red wine sauce. But both of them were definitely better than carbonara, too cheesy for us. You will probably hit your cheese quota for the week after having half of the carbonara.

The best part of it is that the Boss ordered desserts for us. Chocolate Lava cake with vanilla ice-cream. The moment we start helping ourselves with the chocolate lava, the chocolate moist started flowing out as if we just unbarred a floodgate. Together with the ice cream that chill you all the way down to the spine, it was good. Especially the cookies crumbles base of the chocolate lava, that's my favourite. Downside, it was too sweet, after a few tea spoons of the chocolate lava with vanilla ice-cream.
